As Permanent as Sharpie
Challenge: Create print ads for Sharpies. That’s it.
Problem: Sharpie markers aren’t exactly the most exciting things to buy at the store. They’re clear-cut, no-BS home and office products that every American has seen at least a handful of times.
Solution: You can’t relate to a permanent marker. You can, however, relate to embarrassing experiences that you can’t undo. So, we created a print campaign that emphasizes Sharpie’s permanence by bringing awkward moments into play.
